Our nursery fees

We provide childcare funding for two, three and four year old children. To learn more about the available schemes, contact us. Our nursery is located in New Earswick, York.

Childcare funding for children aged 2 to 4 years

As part of the early year’s development partnership, Little Acorns Day Nursery is eligible to claim Nursery Education Funding.

The funding is paid direct to Little Acorns Nursery and is deducted from the fees of eligible children.

15 hours' subsidised childcare

All children in England are eligible for 3 & 4 year old funding from the term after their 3rd birthday.

2 year old children who have both parents working are eligible for 15 hours working parents funding from 2024.

We also offer 2 year old deprivation funding.

What is 30 hours' Early years Funding?

The government has doubled the universal entitlement of 15 hours' subsidised childcare, which is available for most three and four-year olds. It is funded during term time only - so 38 weeks of the year. Parents register their own children on the Governmant website and the nursery will claim the hours with the Local Authority.

Once you have registered your child for Early Years Funding you will receive a number/code, usually starting with '50', this will be used by nursery to claim the funded hours on your behalf. The funding comes into effect from either January, May or September, following your child's third birthday.

Eligibility for funded childcare

You can usually claim up to 30 hours subsidised childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:

In work - or getting parental leave, adoption leave, sick leave or annual leave
Each earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week
Each individually earn less than £100,000 a year.

This earnings limit doesn’t apply if you’re self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago.

You're not eligible if:

Your child doesn’t usually live with you
Either you or your partner has a taxable income over £100,000
2 year old Working parents funding - both parents are not working

£302.00 per week
£72.60 per day - 1-3 days per week
£70.00 per day - 4 days per week
£43.00 per morning (includes lunch)
£43.00 per afternoon (includes tea)

Fees are payable monthly in advance

and all sessions booked must be paid for.

Vouchers

At Little Acorns Day Nursery, we accept childcare vouchers from all salary sacrifice schemes, enabling parents to receive the benefit of reduced tax and National Insurance payments.

Fees can be paid by bank transfer, Standing Order, Direct Debit, work based vouchers & Tax Free childcare account (Childcare Choices)

Please note that fees are payable monthy in advance and are calculated over 51 weeks/39 weeks of the year depending on full year attendance or term time only.
